What’s up everybody welcome back to another episode in this week, we’re going to be talking about why now is a great time to update your site. You know, if you’re using Divi you, we’ve all been waiting for a long time. So if you’ve been using it for any extended amount of time, which I assume if you’re listening to this, you probably have we’ve been waiting for a long time for a lot of different things. You know, the theme builder was the big one. I think everybody waited a year, 14-16 months, whatever it was, from the time they did the sneak peak until the time was actually released. But we’ve got that now.

We’ve got great Guttenberg support so you can do Guttenberg pages or posts and use Divi blocks inside of there. You can build search pages, 404, custom blog, pages, blog layouts, all of that stuff with the Divi Theme builder. And to me in my mind, that makes now the perfect time to update your website. Because you can go in, you can strip away all the old stuff, all the old code, all the old PHP pages, the child themes, all of that stuff, you can take away slimmed down the code slimmed down Divi site, the actual site size, and build things in that in that theme builder, and then build it in a way that’s scalable, set the global styles. That way, all your h1 and h2 tags look the same or your h3 tags look the same, your text looks the same, your buttons look the same. You can add them across the site. And just they’re they’re going to follow that style.

And that’s the beauty of where we are right now is that Divi has become so efficient and so scalable. And that’s why I mean I ultimately think right now is the perfect time to do it. You know, we were going through a little bit of a low with the Coronavirus stuff, you know, we’ve seen an economic kind of slow down, but on the digital side, things are still really going hard. People are transitioning into online e commerce people are transitioning into online service businesses. And that in itself is an opportunity for us as website developers. And as teachers, you know, we can go in and we can help somebody so having a great site having a site that’s up to date with current trends of design is really important makes it look like you’re you care about what you’re doing that you’re actually informed about the latest trends which is really big, and not just the trends of design but also the trends of user experience and conversion.
Keegan 2:46
Those things all matter. But right now is a great time to be able to to build that in a way that’s very scalable. And that’s again you know, say the 1000 times that’s why I love Divi. Divi is is awesome it continues to grow continues to evolve and their product is just really really good go for designers built for developers and built for efficiency which is really really awesome. So if you’re thinking in the thought in your mind is do I update my site now or do I wait until the next great feature comes out? I mean I’m sure Divi and Elegant Themes are going to are going to release new things for the Divi theme, new features and new really cool add ons.

But the theme builder was the big one, you know that in itself was was kind of the that was a major milestone a major Mark moving forward. Yeah, they’ll they’ll do incremental releases, they’ll clean things up, they’ll make it a little bit easier. They’ll add a couple new boat bells and whistles and features. But we won’t see anything really major until Divi 5.0. And I don’t even know what that’s going to be the theme builder is such a big one. It’s hard to imagine something topping it. But I’m sure they will.

That’s why you know, again to go back and wrap this whole thing up. Now’s the great time. Go and do it. If you have ideas. You want to talk back and forth with somebody find us on Twitter, I Keegan L media let’s have a conversation around what you’re thinking what you’re doing. And yeah, I’d love to talk.
