What’s up Divi addicts? Welcome to episode number 12. Today we’re talking global default settings inside of Divi’s Visual builder, this new feature is something that’s coming up pretty soon, and should be out in the next short amount of time. I don’t know, you know, they, they, these sneak peeks, they never really give us the answers. But we know it’s coming soon. And that’s got us really excited. So let’s jump into today’s episode.

So I’m really excited for the way that these things are coming about the way Elegant Themes is really growing their support. And the way that they’re developing things for Divi is really exciting to me. I hope it is for you, too, I guess, you know, we get the numbers, we’re continuing to grow this podcast. So I guess it is. And we’re really excited that all of this is just happening, you know, feel like we made a great decision as far as picking Divi as our platform of choice.

So the newest feature that they’re dropping, or that they’re teasing, is just global default settings. So imagine you’re in the Visual Builder, and you go to any module, it could be a text module, a call to action, or blurb, any of those, and you look to the top right of the settings, there’s going to be a little globe icon. And that’s, that’s their Global Settings icon, you click that the settings module actually flips around and you’re looking at a gray header to showcase that it’s the global modifier. And you can go ahead and make your settings changes that you want so that anytime you add another one of those modules, whichever one you make the changes to the new ones going to show up with the defaults that you set.I think this is epic, is very awesome, because you can style your your modules one time. And then you can go ahead and just change the content, which is pretty freakin cool. So I’m excited about it. I hope you are as well.

The other big piece that they announced is that they’re also going to have global setting history states. So if you change something, it’s going to prompt you with you know, are you sure you want to make this change? And even if you do say yes, and go forward and decide you’d like to go back. There’ll be historical. I don’t know how many they’ll have, but they’ll definitely have the ability to revert you know, similar to what they rolled out in Divi 3.6 with the Divi feature rollback like the actual Divi version rollback. That’s just another great value add from Elegant Themes to me. And another reason that Divi is the theme for WordPress. So that’s pretty much it for this it was a quick sneak peek and it was an exciting sneak peek. So we’re really interested if you hit us in the comments below with ways you think you might actually be able to use this.
