I’ve had a lot of really insightful conversations lately and they’ve made me think about what I want, where I want to go, and what I want to do.
This podcast has been an incredible way for me to connect with you and also to keep up with new things in the WordPress space.
After a great conversation with someone I trust, I am taking a little bit of a break. When I come back, expect things to look and feel a little different. I’ll be sharing the journey from side-hustler to full-time entrepreneur.
I’ll be back soon, but in the mean time find me on YouTube > https://www.keeganlanier.com/watchyoutube or Instagram > https://instagram.com/keeganlanier

What’s going on everybody? This episode is Episode 130. And there’s a lot that I’ve got to unpack In this episode, I’m going to open up a little bit, we’re going to be really, really honest, when I talk about this podcast, and this is awesome history, I mean, three, three strong years of doing this podcast, I want to talk to you a little bit about the future. I know we’ve done this a few times, there’s been some stuff, some starts some halts, some, whatever you want to call it. But I have had some really, really good conversations this week, some incredible advice, some really good talks. And I think I figured the way out, or at least, got some great tips on ways to make this thing even better for me for you. And I think it’s gonna be a hell of a lot cooler than what we’ve been doing. Because if you’ve been listening to the podcast for even a little while, if you go back to some of the older episodes, we’re fumbling through trying to like I was fumbling through trying to figure out the technology side of it. I was messing around with audio. I mean, the old some of these old episodes have just crappy crappy audio. It was literally while I was driving in my car, on my hour commute to work with either Apple headphones or like a hard wired Lav mic. And it was really bad because I was on the interstate doing 70 miles an hour. And you could definitely tell.

So, you know, fumbled through all those things over the years and found what is kind of a formula. But the tough part is that I was always talking about other, I guess I was talking about Divi in a lot of ways, and I was talking about things in the community. And it’s gotten to a point where it’s really hard to find content to talk about because Divi’s not growing as quickly as it was, there’s not as many new things. I can only talk about the community so many times, I mean, I’ve got great, great connections out of the community. And it’s, it’s a thing that will always be really special to me. And that’ll never go away. But what will change in pretty much immediately in fact, I said, This is episode number 130. This is officially the last version of Divi Addicts Addicted to WordPress, that this is the end of that version of the podcast. I’m going to take some time off. And I don’t have a set amount of time. I’m really not sure what that timeline is going to look like. But I’m going to take a step back from the podcast for a little while. And I’m going to to re-assess and reevaluate and really replan because many of you know and I don’t know that I put it out there public put it out there in some in some clubs that I’m in or some memberships that I am specifically in the Josh Hall, web design club, check it out, if you’re interested in growing a business inside of web design, some amazing people in there. But I put it out in there that my goal is to go from a full time corporate human being work in that job and develop from side hustle to a full time entrepreneur. Full time web design developer with the with the hope that I’ll be able to build you know and get a few really solid contract team members, people that can work regularly building websites and develop redefined creative into a very small, nimble, fast, hungry, service oriented, tiny agency like a little micro agency. And with that, it’s going to it’s going to bring along the content that will become the new podcast.

Name hasn’t been determined yet. Branding hasn’t been determined yet. But what I do know it will be is every episode is going to be about my journey. So we’re taking this thing from side hustler to entrepreneur. And I’m gonna I’m going to blog and well I guess that blog, but I’m going to share my thoughts with you can come along on the journey with me of someone who’s got a full time gig and the challenges, the hurdles, the insecurities, the imposter syndrome, the the wins, the successes, the huge, you know, huge great moments and milestones from highest, the highest to lowest lows. I’m going to take you side by side with me on that journey. And there’s a hope a couple of things that I hope come from that, number one is that I hope I can maybe give you the motivation to do the same. If you’re feeling like that’s something you want to do, but don’t feel like you’ve got the guts or the skill or the ability or that it’s even something that you can pull off. Hopefully, listening to me and listening to the journey will inspire you or motivate you or, you know, just get you up off your off your butt to go and make that move. And number two, it’s a documentation of the process for me. And it’s a way for me to put out the journey out there, set the goals and have accountability to someone other than myself. So this is, this is really the beginning, even though it feels like an end. 130 episodes is something that I’m unbelievably proud of. Most people do not make it a third of the way into that. Most people stop their podcast after a few episodes. And I’ve committed to you committed to this process. And this, this podcast itself. And it again, it won’t end, you’re going to see it on the same feed, I’m just going to basically fork the podcast. And when we come back, we come back and just keep this thing, subscribe in your podcast app. And we’ll do a teaser episode and just kind of team things up before I kick things off again. But we’re going to go away recharge. And, and really kind of think of the way this next phase is going to play out. But if that’s something you’re interested in listening to that journey of someone going from, you know, side hustler to entrepreneur, stay here.

And if you know somebody who’s interested in that, or would be interested in that, be sure to share this podcast with them. Because we’re going to come back, we’re going to come back with a vengeance. It’s going to be every single week, just sitting here talking. And there may be episodes where we bring people in, definitely wanted to talk and do interview style podcast episodes as well. So you know, if I know someone along the way is reaching out to me, and they’re they’re somewhere similar in their journey. And they’re going through the same things that I’m going through, I want to talk to you, you know, I definitely want to talk to you, and we can do it on the podcast. So I’m excited for it. I’m actually really amped and, you know, if you’re out there, and you know who you are. I appreciate the feedback that you’ve given me. I appreciate the building up that level of excitement inside of me again, I’m super amped to do this next version of this podcast, I think it’s going to be hella cool. I think it’s going to be raw, I think it’s going to be very entertaining, hopefully. And one thing it will be, it will be real.
Keegan 7:54
I’m an open book. And I’m very, very much out there. So I think you’re going to get to see the more authentic version of Keegan. And I’m excited to share that. And I’m excited to share the journey. There’s a lot of stuff there a lot of content, and it’ll keep you engaged with with myself with what I’m doing. And yeah, that’s, that’s pretty much all I wanted to talk about in this episode. Before I before I head out of here, I know that this may not, it may not register with some of you. And this may be the end of the road for us. And that’s okay. That’s totally fine. We’re in different phases of life. And that’s cool. I want to tell you, thank you. Thank you for listening to the podcast in any form. And good luck out there. And if this is something that you’re like, holy crap, I’m super excited about what’s coming up next. I ain’t going nowhere. Thank you. I’m looking forward to bringing those episodes to you. Really, super amped. And I have nothing else to say. But thank you, all you for coming along in this journey for being with me for 130 episodes of this, this phase. We’ll start over with this brand new journey. And it’s gonna be it’s gonna be exciting. So Have an awesome day. Have an incredible week. treat those around you like you want to be treated be good to one another. It really isn’t too hard. But there’s, there’s a lack of it out there with some groups of people and the only way we can change it is to start with ourselves. So Have an awesome day. And we’ll be back with a teaser before we kick this thing off. So stay subscribed.
