What’s up, everybody? Welcome to another episode of Divi addicts, we’re super amped to be here midweek. This is a special special thing you know, most of you are used to the one time a week. And we’re gonna play around here a little bit and we’re gonna go way off the beaten path. off script off topic, well, not completely off topic. Still Divi related, still all about Elegant Themes. But this week, we’ve got something a little bit different. It’s not a sneak peek. It’s not the latest release in Divi. It’s about a course that I’m taking. So let’s jump in.
Keegan 0:39
So it’s no secret, when you all know how much we love Divi. It’s a phenomenal framework. It is the centerpiece of our business. I mean, it’s it’s helped efficiency. It’s helped standardization. It’s allowed us to build out tools, and videos and all kinds of support for our clients that help make the value of what we put out as a business even stronger. You know, but you can always learn, you can always get better. And that’s exactly what we’re doing right now. We signed up maybe five weeks ago, or six weeks ago at this point for Divi business experts course. And this course was created by two guys who, in my mind are some of the godfathers of Divi business as a whole. You know, there are there are others out there, but these people are giving back to their community in a major way.
Keegan 1:44
And it’s you know, it’s it’s exactly the way that that I like to build community and the way I like to present my product and business also. And those guys that created one created Divi life, the other created Divi space and Aspen Grove studios. And they’ve come together to create a podcast as well as WP gears, which will host a lot of their online courses. You know, those two guys are Tim Strifler and David Blackman Fun fact, David and I actually live in the same city, not a big city, either decent sized city, but a rather small city in the state of Louisiana. So, you know, we love what they’re doing, how they’re progressing, and we love the products that they’re putting out. And the one we’re going to talk about today specifically is their Divi business experts course.
Keegan 2:41
You know, it’s it is 100%, geared around how to build, grow and severely scale, a Divi WordPress design business. And you know, we’re in the middle of the second week right now. And the course information and all of those pieces have been extremely strong there. They’re laying a great foundation. And it’s it’s perfect for somebody who wants to do it but doesn’t know where to start. They do walk you through everything. And that’s a that’s a wonderful, it’s one of those things I really wish that I would have had this course. Three years ago when I initially jumped into Divi, you know, the hosting piece, I’ve learned trial and error. You know, I figured it out by making mistakes.
Keegan 3:31
And I know a lot of people out there have had built their businesses that way by just trying. And, you know, the course takes you through hosting basics. And it made me really feel good about the choice of hosting that I picked because even Tim and David, they swear by a two hosting and WP Engine. Although I’ve I’ve never used WP Engine myself, I have recommended it a lot because I’ve heard amazing reviews and I know people who use WP Engine.
Keegan 4:04
In fact, one of my clients actually has their site hosted on WP Engine. So I’ve got a little experience getting into the back end and helping build websites on WP Engine. I’m just really, really, really excited for the opportunity to learn more and grow I think, you know, as a business as a brand, as a human being in general. If you’re staying the same, well, there’s really no such thing you know, you’re getting worse, you’re getting passed by or you’re growing. You know, and I don’t want to get passed by by anyone. I want to stay ahead of the game work hard. There’s only one thing that that we can really control and that’s the amount of effort and how hard we work at the things that we do.
Keegan 4:51
So keeping the education going and partnering up with guys like Tim and David. They it really it solidifies. The fact that we want to learn and we want to be the best, and we want to continue to grow. So this course is something for it has something for everyone. If you’re someone farther along the path, I think you’re going to learn plenty on the marketing and scaling side. And just, you’re gonna get the docks in a box that David and Tim have created, you know, where there are some great contract templates, there’s some questionnaire templates, they even have some, some templates for Asana and Trello, for project management, which I think are extremely helpful, you know, they build in a great project flow.
Keegan 5:41
And having those pieces in place allows you to bring people onto your team, and helps them just jump into the project know what’s going to come next. And it keeps things flowing. Whereas you know, all those, those pieces don’t have to live in your head anymore. There’s a system and a process behind it, you know, haven’t haven’t worked for a big restaurant group that’s growing and scaling for, you know, almost nine years now, I think in system and processes.
Keegan 6:08
That’s how my mind is programmed to work now because I’ve been a part of building those for our restaurant. So in the side hustle in the Divi WordPress business, that’s the way my mind continues to work. So if your mind, if your mind doesn’t work like that, Tim and David in this course, are going to give you some solid templates to help structure that. And so that’s just more value that they’re bringing in. And I feel like, you know, for the 500, and something dollars in this course, that covers eight weeks. It’s it’s small pennies, whenever you look at the value that you’re getting out of it. So I wanted to jump in here this week, and really talk about this and talk about the course and talk more importantly, about the importance of continuing to grow and not being set in your ways. We work in a in a technology space. And technology’s always changing, growing, evolving, and it’s gonna it’s going to continue to do that and probably a rapid, rapid or more rapid pace than we get my English right at a more rapid pace.
Keegan 7:14
This so it’s it’s up to us to continue to grow and evolve with it and find the things that help make our business better, quicker, more efficient, and, more importantly, better for our clients. And that’s the name of the game. Alright, we made it to the end of another episode of Divi addicts. We hope you enjoyed this slightly different episode. You know, talking about the Divi experts course is something that we had to jump in here and do because it’s a course that we are we have been really excited about since we signed up. And we’re two weeks in, and we’re probably more excited than we were before it started. We just believe there’s so much value. And we wanted to share all of that, as well as you know, each episode that we come at you with new features from Divi. We’re just excited about the business that we’re building the community around Divi, we’re excited about each one of you, that’s listening to this podcast, because I mean, we can be real here, right?

Now, that was a question we asked, should we be using Beaver Builder? Should we use Jupiter? Or should we use the x theme or the pro theme? Should we use element or as a business builder or as a page builder? Should we use a Genesis Framework? You know, there’s so many things out there. So many tools and ways you can go we can only share our experience and you know, we’ve we’re four years into this game. So we’ve got a significant amount of experience, and we’d love to share it.
