What’s up? Welcome to Divi Addicts, a podcast covering the latest and greatest from the Elegant Themes team specifically about the Divi theme and framework. We hope that you’re amped for this latest episode. Without further ado, let’s just jump right in.

Alright, right. So first and foremost, we’ve got to apologize, we’re a couple days behind schedule. And that’s not super usual for us. But life took hold. And, you know, earlier in the week, I was down, I was down with the sickness for sure. The voices back back to about 90%. So we feel good. We’re in here, we’re ready to get this thing going. And, you know, without further ado, I think it’s just time to jump into today’s conversation. And we’re talking about something that Well, first, I guess, jumping back to the very beginning is that this week has been very light. There haven’t been any sneak peeks. There hasn’t been a new Divi release. It’s just been a little quiet, which is odd for the Elegant Themes team. But it’s got me speculating something big.
Keegan 1:14
I think that if you look back at Elegant Themes blog, sometime in May, maybe the middle of May, there was a sneak peak that came out that had everybody say, finally, oh my god, we’re so excited. If you’ve been around for a little while, you know exactly what that is, is the theme builder. It’s going to be where we can use the Divi Builder in all aspects of the website. And I picture it as you know, 404 pages, archive pages, all of the things, you know, headers, footers, menus, all of it. That is a game changer for Divi, which is already, in my opinion, the absolute best page builder theme framework that’s out there for usability. There’s no, I, in my opinion, there’s not even a close second. And that’s just me, I know everybody’s approach, everybody’s mind works a little bit different. And that may not be the case for everyone. But you’re here, and you’re listening to the Divi Addicts podcast. So I have to assume you’re the same.
Keegan 2:22
So we’re really amped and I could be wrong, I could definitely be way off base. But I think that Elegant Themes is gearing up for a release of this theme builder. And it would make sense to me is that, you know, they’ve been putting out some great foundational pieces that copy and paste, the extend styles, the multi select all of those things. And what I think is leading up to this theme builder. And I really, really hope over the next couple of weeks we see that come to light. I’m interested to really know and see what the community is doing, and how they’re going to use those features when they come out. What crazy menus are we going to get? Are we going to get crazy menus? You know, are people going to go outside of what they’re used to seeing already? Because people are creatures of habit? Are they going to really just recreate the menus that are already out there? I don’t know. But we are definitely going to find out when we get this feature.
Keegan 3:20
So that’s one part. That’s the speculation. That’s one thing I just wanted to bring up. Because, you know, this week is centered around a sneak peek this week is not centered around a new release. It’s just a conversation in speculation. So one thing I wanted to reiterate, and we’ve talked about it here and there in the past is that Elegant Themes is like the absolute full court press when it comes to content. You can go to their blog, and they’re gonna say, you know, here’s a sneak peek, we’ve got the info on the blog, here’s the video, the video is posted to YouTube, the videos posted to Facebook. Then behind that they’ve got BJ doing the weekend review, then they’ve got Mac the next week doing a live stream on YouTube using the layout pack. And then you know, there’s other things that come out around that other content. Here’s how you use the moat the new feature the multi select, here’s how you use the new column structure, here’s a custom design unit, the bolt using the multi struck, can’t get that out. Here’s a new design using the multi column structure. There we go. Got it, you know.
Keegan 4:19
So my point behind getting excited like that, and even saying those pieces is that these guys bring a ton of content. So if you aren’t consuming that content, and it’s relevant to you, and you just didn’t know about it, I want to make sure that you know about it, go over to their YouTube page for elegant themes, and really dive in to the content because it’s there and it’s amazing. And it’s really, really well done. And there’s a lot of it to consume. So if you can get value from that you want to see real world uses. Go over there and check it out. And then here’s, here’s my spin on it. Or here’s the piece that we want to bring to you is that if you want watch any of these videos or go through any of these tutorials and you’re like, Man, that was that was good. But I think we can do more I think I could get more from it if this particular section were covered, all you got to do is let us know, hit us up in the socials are going to do an air media calm and connect with us somehow we’ve got a bot on our page where you can submit information.

So let us know how we can do that. And what we’re going to do is take that information. Now we’re going to go and we’re going to start crafting our YouTube presence.
