What’s up everybody? Welcome to another episode of Divi addicts. This week we’re talking about basic on page SEO. And there’s a couple ways you can go you know WPMU DEV has an amazing plugin called Smart Crawl, it does a really fantastic job with a great UI, and it loads quick. You know the go to that most people go, you know, as their first choice is, Yoast, most people get away with the basics. Some people use the Pro, I suggest going with the basic just because it’s easy to get going. It’s free. And it’s something that you can put on just about any site or really any WordPress site. And the reason I kind of stick with WPMU DEV smart crawl is because I do have a membership to WPMU DEV. And I try and keep things as harmonious and from as few vendors as possible when it comes to plugins, just from a compatibility standpoint.

You know, I really like smart crawl, and I like Yoast, they both do a great job. I do find personally that Yoast can be a little resource heavy, it’s definitely takes a little bit of time to load in the back end. But it does everything that you may possibly want it to do from submitting Sitemaps to being able to put in keywords and custom metadata, custom titles, all of those things that really help elevate your SEO. And so this episode, we really wanted to just I wanted to throw out those two plugins what we use here at Keegan Lanier Media.

And you know, in the show notes, you’re going to see a link to our article on our blog post and what we’re doing on our website, which will have more indeed more in depth walkthroughs on a little bit of what happens with Yoast, some of the back end the pictures, and then as well, using smart crawl, I think that there’s it really doesn’t matter which way you go. As long as you have the ability to set keywords, do the basic on page SEO to where you go under edit on your pages inside of WordPress, and drop in those custom titles or the custom slugs or the custom keywords. That way, you can become an authority as you continue to put out content around those pieces. So it’s very, very important that you do this on all your sites so that you can be found and you can rank higher on Google.
