4: Divi Tutorial Sites
The Divi community is second to none. Today we talk about the ElegantThemes.com blog, JoshHall.co and Quiroz.co. The Divi community is so strong and loaded with amazing resources.
What’s up, everybody? Welcome to episode number four of Divi addicts, we can’t tell you how freakin amped we are that this is episode number four and that you are here. So thanks again for making your way back here for the fourth time, or thanks for showing up for the first time. Either way, we appreciate you. We’re super excited for all the great feedback we’ve gotten on the first three episodes. And we’re just super, super excited to talk about today because it centers around the best thing that Divi has to offer, in our opinion. And that’s the community. So without further ado, let’s hop right into the first topic.
So we’re talking about blogs, specifically those surrounding giving. A lot of these are geared towards tutorials. In fact, all of them are tutorials. And the first one we’re going to talk about today is the one that’s just a natural selection, right? It’s the Elegant Themes blog. They’ve done an absolutely unbelievable job in their blog, they create great content that helps expand what Divi has to offer. And it’s just, it’s just a great blog, it’s really well done really well written great tutorials, including a lot of graphics, step by step process. And the whole team just constantly is creating great content. I throw it back, you know what really locked me into the Divi community. And really Divi as a whole platform was leading up to their 3.0 release, they did what they call the 100 days of giving.
And for almost a third of the year, they released a new piece of content every single day, without fail for 100 days in a row. Very, very, very massive undertaking. And I can say it with 100% honesty. I’m not jealous you guys. hat’s off to you. It was unbelievable to watch as a as a fan, as a customer, as a designer who uses the product and just as a fan of the community. So thank you for that huge shout out gentlemen. But that’s definitely the one I would say you all need to start. Start by just going to Elegant Themes.com, hit that plug in and read through it. If you haven’t committed to Divi, if you’re thinking about committing to Divi go to the blog and see there’s just a proof is right there for you that this theme is going to give you value way beyond the purchase. So I can’t say it enough. I love Divi, it’s it’s transformed the way that we operate at Keegan Lanier Media.
So it’s just it’s one of those things that will always hold a special place in my heart. And their blog in particular is one that I find myself on in the regular find myself added on the regular, excuse me, and I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t go have any habit in any other way. It’s just they do an awesome job. They create amazing content, and it just continues to bring unbelievable value. And number two, moving right along is going to be JoshHall.co. Josh, his website is really really well done. It’s very clean. And it really shows the love he has for Divi. But more importantly to Divi it’s the love that He has for teaching people in the Divi community, what they need to do to get number one the most out of Divi to take it to the next level, but also how to just figure their way around running a freelance business that is centered around Divi as a platform.
One of the things that really attracted me to Josh, his way of teaching is that he breaks it down very simply, he sticks into his, you know, he sticks into what he knows, he uses chrome and shows how to do the use the inspect tool to get to certain pieces of Divi’s code, make the changes to them as need be and it’s just really, really thorough. The other piece is that Josh actually uses the same project management tool that I use which is 17 Hats, huge shout out to them for client management and project management and just keeping things organized I’ve always really enjoyed using that platform. But Josh used to so what attracted me to his first off it attracted me to him to ask questions about how he ran his business and you know always looking for ways to get better and grow and be that much stronger as a as an agency as a designer and just as a brand. And it drew me into his content in his content is definitely top notch.
All the all the praise and accolades that I could give definitely are deserved and earned by Josh so definitely check out Josh Hall.co and we’ll throw a link in the in the show notes. So check it out and we’d love to know what you think about Josh has.
Coming back to the very last but certainly not the least part of this this podcast. We’re going to talk about Geno Quiroz. Quiroz.co , and also his agency is Monterey Premier. So we’re going to add links to both of those sites in the show notes. But what can be said about Geno and his team that probably hasn’t already been said 1000 times before. Geno really is the godfather of tutorials with Divi. He has done some incredible tutorials that have lived on for a number of years, and that have really helped shape not only certain parts of people’s websites, but also entire agencies surrounding Divi design. It’s just unbelievable, and it’s a huge, huge shout out to Geno, for everything he’s done everything that he has influenced in the community. And you absolutely should check this out. This, I would imagine is probably the first site that you’ll see if you get interested in doing design and Divi outside of Elegant Themes.
But check out Geno’s work, check out all of his tutorials on logo size footers. I mean, the list goes on animated background gradients. He is just he’s got it if you want to do it, you know, it’s it’s absolutely on his site. So check out Geno. And let me know what you think. Because I’m always interested to know exactly how people were, what is the best way that they learn and if it’s Geno’s style, if it’s the Elegant Themes team style, or if Josh’s style because they’re all very unique in the way they do it and are all extremely thorough and good at what they do. But I’d be interested to know, for you from your perspective, which way in which teaching style works best for you.
So that’s it.That’s episode four in the can complete. We are done. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you again for being here for Episode Four. We’re just having fun with this. So thanks for coming back.
