So today, we’re here to answer the eternal question. Are you ready to build a website? So here’s, here’s what we’re gonna go with this. First and foremost, I’m going to say yes, always, regardless of the details, and for one very important reason. If you’re building a community, on social media, it’s amazing. They give you a lot of opportunity to reach a lot of people. But the truth is, is that you’re on borrowed land, you’re you’re building your network, and you’re building your worth, on a platform that could change, you know, they could they could switch things up for you. They could even shut down and how would your community know how to connect with you. So I think a website that you own that you run in that is your property is always a really smart way to go. Even if it’s just a way to direct traffic, it doesn’t have to be the main place where you hold all your info. But it needs to be a place where that if people for some reason, lose track of you but want to stay in touch, they need to know exactly where to go so that they can redirect to whatever place it is that you want them to be.
Keegan 2:24
And your website is always that it’s like ground traffic control to me. Things like an airport, just make sense to me, you want them to go there. And then they can divert out into different social media platforms, depending on what you do on these different platforms and which audiences you’re trying to go after. So for us, the answer is always Yes. Are you ready? Well, if you have a brand, if you have a business, if you’re trying to build a community, then absolutely 100% You should go the website. And, you know, we’ve got a bunch of cool things. You know, you heard in the in the sponsorship a little bit earlier, our sponsorship with Keegan Lanier Media, we have managed WordPress hosting that’s powered by Google Cloud. And it’s it’s really reliable, it’s a great, it’s fast, and a secure. Those are things that I would look for whenever you’re going to build your website, you know, shared hosting is amazing. And it’s a good way to get in very cheap, but it’s not super secure. It’s not super fast. And you’re kind of at the mercy of the least knowledgeable person on that server. And there could be hundreds or 1000s of people on that server.

So if you have the ability to afford it, spend a little bit of money if it’s 15, 30, 50 whatever it is a month, get good hosting, do your research, make sure that the support for the people that you’re going to be using is great. Look up their reputation, look up their reviews, you just want to make sure that if there’s any area that you do not go cheap on his website hosting, because that is like building a house on non settled land, you want to make sure that the foundation is rock solid. And hosting is the core to that. So I hope that answers that question. You know, if you’re looking to build a website, or build a brand, or build community or earn money online or do any of those things, yes. Do yourself a favor, start your website, claim your space today.
