So what’s Episode Number 48 and today we’re talking about the latest feature release from Elegant Themes for Divi that is draggable size and space controls.

All right, so we know Elegant Themes. They released the on April 12, they brought out this new draggable sizing and space controls and you know, it looks super cool, you’d be able to just drag margins and widths and all these different things right inside of the Divi, Divi Builder, the visual builder, and it seems super cool, you can add minimum height, you could do all these different things, to really, to really bring this stuff to the next level. And the demos, everything that they showed in the in the layout looked cool, like looked really awesome. It looked like they’ve got it all well done. And they hadn’t put out anything in a long time.

So I kind of hoped and really expected that, you know, what they had done was really well tested and really well put together. But unfortunately, now I will say this too often, Elegant Themes really dropped the ball on this one. This 3.22 is what I believe it was just broke websites. I saw it on the Facebook groups, you know, there was a lot of issues. A lot of people sites just were totally messed up. Because of this. The one thing I did notice was we have if you go to our site and you look at our services, specifically on Keegan Lanier Media, we have a YouTube video that kind of walks you through the service and what we offer and just me talking about the service will on those videos are set to be a certain width. And what happened is that they became full width. And with that also very, very high, like very tall. And it just did not look good. It didn’t fit well it just look awful.

So thankfully, another feature we’ve covered on the show is the rollback feature, I use that roll to roll my side back and always was fine in the world. I know that since then Elegant Themes has put out an update to this feature. And it seems to fix things. So thankfully the the point one release of that that latest update really did help. But you know this, this update is cool. It’s another step in the right direction for what they’re doing with the visual builder. And I really think that that this update is going to add a lot more to what did he offers. I say that knowing that, especially with what element tours doing and with what some other visual builders are doing, the pressure is at an all time high for Elegant Themes to really hit this theme builder out of the parking get it out.

Know that you know that we finally seen some potential timelines being another few weeks at most, that Nick Roach himself has said that we’re going to get this feature they know they need to because they are not just getting people complaining that they might leave Divi and go elsewhere. But they’re seeing the numbers I’m seeing people leave the groups that are going over into elemental or, or oxygen or beaver and using those to build their sites because some of those other visual builders offer things that Divi doesn’t as of right now. Now I’ve said this once said palisade again and I probably said it more than once.

I have a lot of trust in the Elegant Themes team and I think that what they’re going to put out from a theme builder standpoint is going to exceed what our mentors done that I remember looking back even just a little while ago I watched the video and from May of last year teasing the theme builder and I am I believe it’s gonna be amazing. I think what they showed us probably not what the final is gonna look like and I’m sure it’s gonna be incredible. So I’m excited to test and I’m excited to see what it’s all about. But I wanted to cover this new draggable size and and with all these different new releases that they had so sizing and spacing into really say that, you know, it was kind of a snafu was kind of a not a very great role health for down, you know, they put this out and says awesome. And then the first comments are, you know, update does not appear yet.

How long does it take to be available? And Nick Roach even reply with oops, this post went live at the wrong time the updates rolling out shortly, you know, so couple snap who’s here. But again, it’s not about the mistakes that you make us the way you correct it. And I believe that they will put the right things in place to continue being the premier group and make Devi remain at the top of the pile when it comes to what’s best in the WordPress theme space. So I hope this has been really insightful. I hope this has benefited you as far as what’s going on with giving. As always, you know, if there were getting more features put out, we would pump, you know, back to the way we did these first few episodes. But the feature rollouts have slowed down significantly. But that’s okay. That’s not a big, big deal.
