What’s up Divi addicts Welcome back to another episode. This is officially number 506 and today we’re talking about the theme builder. You all know if you’ve been around here we’ve talked about it on a few different podcast episodes dating back as far as a year and a half ago. Elegant Themes had been teasing. And the community had been waiting and very impatiently at times, but only because we’re so excited for what this could have been. Well, the wait is over. It’s official, the release of Divi 4.0 has come and gone. We’re now on officially on Divi 4.0 point three, there’s been a few itard iterative releases since 4.0. And having jumped in and tested it a lot on Super, unbelievably excited for what has become of the Theme Builder.

I have used it with a few other platforms. And I did use like Elementor Theme Builder at some point. I’ve used a few different theme builders, but none of them, in my opinion do what the Divi Theme builder is doing. It’s It is really truly next level. mean, the customization is the fact that you can target such granular levels, custom post types work in the Theme Builder. I mean, seamlessly, the end result is is truly remarkable, like it’s just really, really good. So I wanted to I wanted to touch base on this episode a little bit about some of the things that you can do with the theme builder.
Keegan 1:55
So the first one is, is obviously the header and the footer. You know, it’s it’s what everyone was waiting on how they can customize it. And I can tell you that it’s it’s exactly what’s promised a header using the Visual Builder, and the Visual Builder seeing a lot of theme update to seem a lot of additional functionality added in, where there’s much much improved on the full width menu. And it doesn’t have to be in a full width section. There’s a lot that you can do with it, including hover colors for the fonts, and different things like that, I know that there’s some more updates that will come and then they’ll add in some sticky options to the global header. And just a few more things that’ll be nice additional bells and whistles. But I can tell you that the basic functionality works extremely well. And if you’re creative, and you know how to manipulate Divi, you’re going to be able to do some really, really, really cool things.

The footer is the exact same way. It is. I mean, it’s global. And what’s really, really cool about that the theme builder, I think, anyway, is that not only can you target specific pages to use the global header and footer on everything, and target the content to certain pages. But you can also on specific things like let’s say you wanted to use a global header and footer, but for some reason, you have a membership site and you have the My Account page. And you want to actually use a different header and footer on that page, you can. So you can target specifically and then create different variants and some different pages.

That part’s huge. The dynamic content that they laid in has definitely played its part that was definitely, excuse me, that was kind of the fundamental baseline that they needed to do to take things to the next level. And the dynamic content works for building out post types, such as blogs, podcasts, anything that you want to do, including WordPress or WooCommerce. modules as well as WooCommerce pages. So I’m I don’t know what to say outside of check out our YouTube channel by going to Keegan Lanier media.com slash YouTube. And it’ll take you to some tutorials and some walkthroughs to where you can really visualize some of the things we talked about here on the podcast. Specifically, we just released a video on how to build a global footer inside of the theme builder with Divi 4.0. It just went live tonight. It’s October 27.
